PRP for Sexual Rejuvenation
Consultations offered at our three convenient locations in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and Newport Beach
A platelet-rich plasma (PRP) shot is an injection designed to treat various sexual performance issues such as erectile dysfunction or sensitivity issues. The PRP serum is made using a sample of your blood. Specific injection sites are chosen to increase sexual sensitivity and enhance sexual performance. Growth factors within the serum stimulate cell and nerve regeneration, blood vessel growth, and collagen production. (1) PRP can rejuvenate the vaginal and penile tissue, creating an all-natural treatment to help patients regain their confidence and improve their quality of life.

About PRP for Sexual Rejuvenation
PRP is a serum derived from the blood that can promote regeneration and cell growth. These cells can be injected back into the body to help alleviate several symptoms, one of the most notable being sexual performance issues. (1) This all-natural, minimally-invasive procedure uses the body’s natural mechanisms to help enhance sensitivity in both men and women as well as help treat erectile dysfunction in men. (1)
Benefits of the PRP Shot
The PRP Shot is considered a safe and effective procedure for treating:
- Vascular erectile dysfunction caused by poor blood flow to the penis
- Peyronie’s Disease–a condition which causes scar tissue to create a curvature of the penis
- Age-related decline in sexual performance and sensitivity
- Moderate erectile dysfunction for men who do not respond well to oral medications
- Patients who are struggling with their performance and want to regain their confidence
- Patients who have recently undergone surgeries or prostate cancer treatment
- Men and women who want to enhance sexual sensitivity and stamina
Candidates
Candidates who suffer from urinary incontinence (2), a low libido, and suffer from the inability to climax may also be good candidates for the PRP Shot. Candidates who are also looking for a non-surgical, low-risk, and natural solution to enhancing their intimate life should consider the PRP shot.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction affects more than 30 million people in the US each year with 50% of the cases occurring in men between the ages of 40-60 years old. (1) Erectile dysfunction can be caused by many things such as depression, medications, hormones, and even neurological causes. There are many prescription drugs such as antidepressants and blood pressure medications that can decrease sexual pleasure and performance. Fluctuating hormone levels can also cause erectile dysfunction. Those who have a thyroid hormone imbalance and those with high levels of prolactin may be at an increased risk of developing erectile dysfunction or performance issues, as well as those facing nerve conditions such as diabetes, spinal cord injuries, and multiple sclerosis.. Personal Consultation
At AsandraMD, we ask that patients sit down with Dr. Asandra for a personal consultation to determine what their treatment plan will look like and to undergo a health evaluation. For certain treatments, patients may need to undergo blood testing so hormone levels can be determined. Your consultation will also have plenty of time given to address any questions or concerns you may have as Dr. Asandra is dedicated to ensuring each patient has a full understanding of their chosen procedure, as well as any other available treatment options.

Preparation
While there is minimal preparation necessary, some patients may be asked to stop certain medications leading up to the procedure or to eat a lighter meal. Dr. Asandra will be able to give you personalized preparation instructions at your consultation before your procedure. Please contact Dr. Asandra if you have any further concerns regarding how to best prepare to receive a PRP shot.
Procedure
Blood is first taken from the patient, similarly to a blood sample. A numbing cream is then applied to the treatment area while blood is then processed to separate the plasma-rich platelets. The PRP is then injected into specific points chosen to help enhance your sexual wellness. These injections stimulate firmness, sensitivity, and tissue regeneration. This procedure is minimally invasive and can take anywhere between 30-60 minutes. There is no downtime after the procedure and patients can return to their daily activities immediately.
Recovery and Results
After a PRP injection, some patients might experience some slight bruising or soreness at the site of injection. These effects should subside within a few hours. PRP is considered to be a safe and effective procedure, with very little risk of reaction due to the cells and growth factors being harvested from the blood itself.
Some patients can notice the improvement immediately, but the full effects can take anywhere between 3-6 months as the tissue in the treatment site regenerates. Some patients may need multiple treatments depending on their health condition and treatment plan.
Cost of a PRP Shot in Beverly Hills
The cost of a PRP shot in Beverly Hills will largely depend on factors such as the conditions being treated and the number of necessary treatments or shots required. Some patients choose to undergo a series of treatments over time. The total cost of the procedure will be discussed with each patient before the procedure at their consultation.
