Andropause treatment is an effective way to address changes to your hormone levels as you age. This treatment can help you regain your strength, mental clarity, vitality, and confidence with minimally invasive therapies that improve your quality of life.
Dr. Christopher Asandra has helped thousands of patients improve their well-being with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)–plant-based hormone treatments that naturally raise the body’s levels of testosterone to improve your quality of life. The minimally invasive treatments are well-tolerated and do not require lengthy downtime periods, making them an ideal option for patients who need to address chronic hormone imbalances.

About Andropause
Andropause, also known as male menopause, is common in men between the ages of 40 and 50. After the age of 30, men’s testosterone levels decline by 1% each year (1), and by 75, most men will have lost 35% of their testosterone. (2) Although low testosterone (Low T) is a natural part of aging, you do not have to let it affect your quality of life. Many patients find that their sleep quality, bone density, muscle mass, mood, intimate relationships, and daily performance improve after receiving andropause treatments.
Testosterone and Muscle Mass
As men age and their levels of testosterone decline, many experience changes to their muscle mass. (4) Some men have difficulty maintaining their strength and may see changes in their physical appearance. We can help you improve your athletic performance and build healthy muscles with hormone therapy and peptides, an amino acid (protein) treatment that can help your body build healthy muscle mass.
Bone Density
Low T can affect your bone density and increase the risk of developing osteoporosis. Raising your testosterone levels can help you maintain your bone density (6) for healthier, stronger bones and prevent changes that could lead to fractures or health issues from bone loss.
Increased Energy Levels
Hormonal imbalances can also result in low energy levels. Rebalancing the levels of hormones in your body can address this and improve your sleep quality to improve your energy levels. Many men with low levels of testosterone experience fatigue, and in a recent study, men who received testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) experienced a significant decline in fatigue. (7)
Stabilized Mood
Mood swings and depression are common during hormonal changes. Although this is partly due to the low levels of testosterone, this can also result from a lack of sleep, which can disrupt mood and daily performance. By balancing your hormones, you can enjoy feeling more at ease with a more stable mood.
Improved Intimacy
Hormonal changes can affect intimate relationships and sexual function. Some men experience erectile dysfunction (ED) and issues with sexual performance. Low T can also contribute to the development of the condition, which can cause embarrassment and issues with intimate relationships. We offer several treatments to address it and improve your quality of life, in addition to hormone rebalancing treatments to prevent hormone-related ED.
Mental Clarity
Brain fog is a common issue when hormonal imbalances occur, and it can affect your daily performance. Low T can increase the risk of developing immune deficiency syndrome, mental health conditions, issues with spatial memory, and changes to attention span. (8) If Low T is impacting your mental well-being, we can discuss andropause treatments to help you improve your quality of life, memory, and mental agility. Since the treatments can improve your sleep quality, they can also help with mental clarity, and rebalancing your testosterone levels can help improve your long-term well-being.
Skin & Hair Rejuvenation
Hormonal changes can also affect your skin quality, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, and, in some cases, a rough skin texture that affects your perceived age. If you are experiencing hair loss from hormonal imbalances, we can address them with andropause treatments to rebalance your body. We also offer autologous conditioned plasma therapy (ACP), which can rejuvenate your skin and hair with a nutrient-rich serum. During the treatment, we will draw a small blood sample and purify it in a centrifuge to extract the plasma and administer it to your skin to improve your appearance.
Candidates & Consultation
Candidates for andropause treatments would like to rebalance their bodies and restore their hormone levels. Many would also like to address mood changes and fatigue. If you would like to address changes to your lifestyle from Low T, then you are likely a good candidate for the treatment. (3)
If you have a condition that affects your ability to receive therapy, we can discuss alternative treatments to help you improve your quality of life. To learn more, see the blog!
Treatment Process
Hormone Pellets
Hormone pellets are tiny capsules that contain testosterone. With a thin incision, Dr. Asandra can place them under your skin with a small device to allow your body to absorb them. They slowly release hormones into your bloodstream to help your body rebalance itself.
Hormone Injections
Injections are a minimally invasive treatment that can help your body increase its testosterone levels. We can administer them into the muscle and your body will absorb them over the next two weeks to rebalance your hormones. If you are unable to use creams or topical therapies, this is one of the most effective ways to restore your body.
After Your Treatment
Although BHRT does not require downtime, you will need to monitor how you feel after your first treatment and be gentle with your body as it rebalances. After your andropause treatment, you can enjoy improved energy and mental clarity, increased libido, mood stability, and enhanced sexual function. If you are struggling with sleep quality, we can also improve it with BHRT to help you make positive changes to your daily performance.
Addressing other changes to your body, such as bone density and muscle mass, can also improve your long-term health.
